KVH Names Its 2009 Technology Scholar


MIDDLETOWN, RI – August 11, 2009 – KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI) is pleased to name Mr. Michael Kelley of Newport, RI, the recipient of its 2009 KVH Technology Scholars Award. Mr. Kelley, valedictorian of Rogers High School in Newport, will begin studies in the Biomedical Engineering program at Brown University in Providence, RI. He is the most recent recipient of the $1,000 scholarship, which is given annually to a deserving Aquidneck Island high school senior attending a 4-year undergraduate math or engineering program the following fall.

“We created the KVH Technology Scholars program to promote continuing education in the fields of math and engineering in recognition of their importance to the future success of KVH Industries as well as our local and national economies,” explained Chris Watson, KVH’s director of marketing.
